REGISTRATION



Registration for the Gakuen Spring Tournament will start on February 20, 2014 (Thursday) and will close on February 27, 2014 (Thursday) 3:00pm.


In order to qualify, a team must have:

- At least five (5) members with Level 30 LoL Summoners Accounts
- Clan tags are NOT required
- Teams may consist of 5-7 team members (5 main & 2 reserve).
- Players are required to provide their real names and User ID.
- Please refrain from renaming your summoner account during the course of the tournament
- Only registered players are allowed to participate.
- Both teams must post their agreed date and time of match on the designated match thread posted on the LoL forums

STEP 1: Completely fill up the registration form found  Below.

STEP 2: Team must wait for the official announcement bearing the list of confirmed participating teams by February 28, 2014 (6:00 pm). The basis for the selection of participating teams will be on a Gakuen Year Group (1 Gakuen Year only)



 MATCH SCHEDULING AND REPORTING:

Matches are to be scheduled by the teams (not the Student Council) and may play it at any date and time that both teams will agree to provided that the result will be reported before the announced deadline.

To schedule your matches:
1) Go to the thread corresponding to your current pending match found in the forums.
2) Post on the thread when you are available for a match but must be within the allotted time given by the Student Council.
3) Wait for your opponent to reply with their preferred schedule. Both your teams must agree to an exact date and time based on both of your team's available schedule. Once agreed, both team captains must post that they agree with the schedule.(Please inform the Game Master (Host) Emman Malilay for the agreed time and date of the match as a proof).
4) Should the teams not able to agree on a schedule, the match is to be played on the default schedule dated below.
5) If the opposing team failed to show up 15 minutes after the agreed time, your team should post a screen shot with your team waiting in the lobby and post it on the match thread to inform the Student Council that your team waited on the agreed time.

Tournament Structure
The GYB Spring 2014 consists of a Group Stage followed by a Knockout Stage. The Group Stage will see 12 teams split into 2 groups of 6 teams, Group A and Group B. The teams in each group will play 2 games with every other team in the group.
The top 4 teams from each Group will proceed to the Knockout Stage, and will be matched according to their placement in their Groups.

 MATCH SCHEDULE


The following match schedules are to be followed (Group Stage format). Round 1 – 5 will be “Best of 3” (2 wins out of 3 games).

Round 1 matches should be finished and results reported by March 5, 2014 - 11 PM (Default schedule is on March 5 - 8 PM should teams not agree on a schedule)

Round 2 matches should be finished and results reported by March 8, 2014, -11 PM (Default schedule is on March 8 - 8 PM should teams not agree on a schedule)

Round 3 match should be finished and results reported by March 11, 2014, 2014 - 11 PM (Default schedule is on March 11 - 8 PM should teams not agree on a schedule)

Round 4 match should be finished and results reported by March 14, 2014 - 11 PM (Default schedule is on March 14 - 8 PM should teams not agree on a schedule)

Round 5 match should be finished and results reported by March 17, 2014 - 11 PM (Default schedule is on March 17 - 8 PM should teams not agree on a schedule)

Optional: (Tie – Breakers)
Round 6 match should be finished and results reported by March 25, 2014 - 11 PM (Default schedule is on March 25 - 8 PM should teams not agree on a schedule)

After we select the 4 Qualified Teams for each Group (A & B), we will proceed to “Knock Out Stage” or “Bracket Stage” (Group A vs. Group B Match) Best of 3 Format. *This will be announced before or after March 17 or 25 depending of there will be a “Tie – Breaker Round”.
This time it will be a Weekly/Daily Match Bracket:
1st  Week will be on “April 1 – 6, 2014” Best of 3, all of the Qualified Team should be finished and result reported by April 6, 2014 – 6 pm (There will be no “Default Schedule” will be given).
2nd Week will be on “April 7 – 13, 2014” Best of 3, all of the Qualified Team should be finished and result reported by April 13, 2014 – 6 pm (There will be no “Default Schedule” will be given).
3rd Week will be on “April 14 – 20, 2014” Best of 3, all of the Qualified Team should be finished and result reported by April 20, 2014 – 6 pm (There will be no “Default Schedule” will be given).
4th Week and Final Matches will be on “April 23, 2014 ONLY” Best of 5, all of the Qualified Team should be finished and result reported by April 23, 2014 – 12 midnight (There will be no “Default Schedule” will be given).

Failure to report results on or before the above mentioned deadline may result in the disqualification of both teams. Teams will be informed on the process on how to schedule and report results upon announcement of the registered teams list.


 IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Any team who fails to post on the thread designated for their match will be considered as conceded or to be considered as having no intention to proceed in the tournament.


 ONLINE TOURNAMENT RULES

 GENERAL


Total Team Slots: 16 teams - 2 Group with 6 teams each
Tournament Structure: Best of 3 games (Same with “Knock Out Stage”)
Competition Method: Five Versus Five (5v5)
Game Length: Until the winner is determined
Game Winner: The team who completely destroys their opponent's Nexus or if the other team surrenders (Screenshot must be provided by opposing teams)
Restrictions: There are no item/champion restrictions as of the current writing.
Restrictions may be added while the tournament is in progress.
Champions: Players may use any of the champions they have already purchase as well as champions free on the weekly rotation.
Game Mode: Custom Game ( Tournament Mode )
Any Terrain (Summer or Autumn)

 DISCONNECTIONS


Game Crashes/Unintentional Disconnection: Any connection loss of one player due to game client, system, network, PC, and/or power problems/issues. Pause the game by using the /pause command until the disconnected player reconnected. Only resume the game when everyone is reconnected back, if the pause time(30 minutes) is over, the game will continue to the disconnecting player?s team?s advantage.

Game Leaving/Intentional Disconnection: Any connection loss of one player due to a players actions.
Game will continue to the disconnecting player team's disadvantage.

Other Crashes: A permanent connection loss of one or multiple players due to an issue with a server (1) Once the champions have been chosen and the loading screen appears, both teams must continue and finish the match even if a team member disconnects.
(2) If a player intentionally leaves a game, then the game will continue as normal.


 UNFAIR PLAY


The following actions will be considered unfair play:
(1)The use of any cheat program and/or map hack program.
(2) An intentional disconnection
(3) The use of any settings exceeding the standard and permitted settings
(4) Clearly allowing an opponent to win a match.
(5) Unsportsmanlike behaviour or, in general, disruptive (e.g., shouting), inappropriate and/or unprofessional actions directed towards another player (even inside the game).
(6) The use of a program bug that is determined by the Game Masters as being unfair.
(7) Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, the offending team, at the sole discretion of the Game Masters, may forfeit a game.
(Cool Any 'unnecessary chatting' during the match.

Unnecessary chatting means any chatting other than the cases listed below:

(a) Greeting messages between the players
(b) A signal for the loss (i.e.: gg, GG, or any other message that the referee can use to decide the winner);
(c) Chatting between players that does not violate the unsportsmanlike behaviour clause;
(d) Any message that the referee can judge as part of the game


 FINAL PROVISIONS


The above-mentioned rules may be amended in the following cases:
(1) Should the tournament referees, at their sole discretion, decide to adopt the latest patch/version release of each official game;
(2) Should the tournament referees, at their sole discretion, decide to modify in-game settings and options required by the use of most recent patch version/release
(3) Should the tournament referees, at their sole discretion, decide to use a newly released Cheat Protection Program and/or cheat protection functions
(4) Should the tournament referees, at their sole discretion, decide to change game settings and/or operations guidelines due to differences between online and offline tournaments.
